Inspiration

Any true designer is inspired by everything around them. We are very lucky here in Southern California. We have beautiful natural places, sexy night life, film and television on our door steps, a myriad of multi-media cultural influences and the best shopping in the world. The shopping is unbeatable.

In creating our original knitwear designs for sophisticated apparel and performance gear we immerse ourselves in textures, colors and eclectic atmospheres - a lot of which is in our own back yard - Los Angeles. Much of our inspiration is pulled straight from the streets of LA, our natural environment, and following trends in other industries. Many of the trend setters and taste makers of our world live, work and shop here. We try to be on the pulse of an eclectic Ameri-European lifestyle, combining collages of pop culture, texture, color and anatomically correct cut for clear movement, comfort, and style. We also travel to Europe, Asia and other parts of the US to trade shows and inspiration. Everything we create comes from somewhere or many somewheres. Our work is both local and global.

Every other week we visit several prime shopping areas in Los Angeles. The goal is to find ideas and inspiration off the beaten path. We also find many independent designers' goods that are fesh, arsty and inspirational. We look at some bigger specialty stores to see what types of novelty sewing techniques are being mass produced. We people watch in many hot spots in Los Angeles. I visit:

  • Hermosa Beach (Active & Surf)

If you'd like to join me for an hour or so give me a call. Pay for your own parking and walking is free. We like to keep this to a couple people at a time so we don't crowd the stores.

We design and create unique textile and knit designs you absolutely won't find anywhere else.
